Two dung beetles rolled their ball of delicious fecal matter into between the buttresses of a tree. One appeared to begin searching for a hole that had been made previously, while the other waited.
I learned a little about depth of field with my camera today… so maybe next time, both dung beetles will be in focus.
Darn….that is too cool…that is one of my life goals…to see dung beetles rolling little balls of dung…how did you find it?
They are all over the place. I can see them daily moving some Koati dung in front of the kitchen when the staff aren’t on top of cleaning the area. This one was at the other MINAE station in the Catalina Sector of the park.
