At the dried lagoon, there are hundreds of thousands of dead fish, although I’m not sure of the species (or family for that matter). I do have some living ones, so I’ll key them out as soon as I can. The stench is terrible; further, it’s still in my shoes.

I imagine the stench of your shoes is comparable to my Michael Johnson track spikes in high school that were repeatedly wet and left to air dry in my nylon spike bag. By the end of the season, the stench was so unbearable that it would give my track coach migraines. The point of this story is, I don’t think there is any remedy for deodorizing them at this point.
