Trachecephalus venulosa secretes a really nasty, whitish, irritant when handled. I haven’t experienced it, but a couple folks here think it’s a devil.

No, I don’t believe so. Palo Verde isn’t nearly as diverse in amphibians as reptiles.
for such a frog lover, you don’t seem to see as many frogs as yo would anywhere else.
