The peak in the background is Turtle Head Peak… and there is a trailhead that goes up it, unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to explore the trail.

| At the beginning of May, I headed to Las Vegas and visited the scenic drive through Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area. While the area covers a portion of the Mojave desert (which is also covered by Joshua Tree National Park), I only visited a small, but beautiful portion of the land area, including the calico hills. |  |
