I’ve probably already posted this shot somewhere, but I like this place.

The white pine I have been photographing for the last 5 or 6 years appears to have suffered some herbivory, and it may not have the reserves to recover.  I had been photographing it nearly each time I went home, so I have around 20 photographs in all seasons of its growth since it was a small ball of needles arising from the soil.  In time, I’ll present those photos here… but while I work on compiling them, here is a photograph of a riffle nearby the pine.  I like the depth of field here but the Spring colors had emerged yet…

A rare backside view of the lower falls at Letchworth.  The falls are at the center of the frame, and the canyon, with the food bridge, follows downstream.
