This is one of the most common Leptodactylid frogs caught in the drift fences Mahmood has set up. The other, Leptodactylus melanonotus, is more common, but both are only slightly bigger than a spring peeper or other Pseudacris.
Last weekend, I went to Santa Rosa National Park for a couple of hours. After staying the night in a hotel near the park, we went to a jelly fish infested beach, wandered around for a few hours and returned to the island that is Palo Verde.
